HoldSafe Privacy Policy

HoldSafe is operated by PraxisArc. This policy explains how HoldSafe collects, uses, stores, and shares information when merchants install or use the HoldSafe Shopify application.
Information we process
HoldSafe may process the following information:
- Shop domain and Shopify app installation information.
- Authentication and session information required to operate the app.
- Fulfillment-order information, including order references, line items, assigned locations, fulfillment status, hold IDs, hold reasons, and hold notes.
- Release audit records, including selected hold IDs, operation status, timestamps, and remaining hold counts.
- Subscription and billing status provided through Shopify.
- Technical logs needed for security and troubleshooting.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Display active fulfillment holds.
- Identify holds created by HoldSafe or external applications.
- Release only the fulfillment holds explicitly selected by a merchant.
- Maintain release audit records and prevent duplicate operations.
- Provide support, security, billing, and troubleshooting.
- Comply with legal obligations and Shopify requirements.
Sharing of information
HoldSafe does not sell merchant or customer information. Information is shared only when required to operate the service, including with Shopify, our hosting and database providers, and service providers necessary for security and technical operations.
Data retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as necessary to operate HoldSafe, provide audit records, meet security requirements, and comply with legal obligations. When HoldSafe is uninstalled, stored shop information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Merchant rights
Merchants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with their store by contacting us. Requests will be handled subject to applicable laws and Shopify requirements.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when HoldSafe, applicable laws, or our service providers change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
